Sony's Xperia line of smartphones seems like it's suddnely reviving, but it seems Sony Ericsson will forego using the Windows Mobile operating system to concentrate on Android and Symbian handsets.
According to Russian mobile news site Mobile Review, Sony Ericsson is no longer supporting the WinMo OS, as seen its Xperia X1 smartphone. The upcoming X2, running on Windows Mobile 6.5, will be its last WinMo phone, with the possibility that another currently in development may even be cancelled.
Instead, Sony E will be focusing on releasing phones running on the Android OS such as the upcoming Xperia codnamed Rachel, and Symbian, as with the multimedia monster Satio, which will take on the Symbian S60 5th edition OS.
